Ewyas Harold, Hereford

PC Construction's contract works included the supply of plant, labour and materials to construct this gabion wall in Hereford, which is being used to retain a river bank along a doctors surgery. There was no access from the embankment side of the river and works had to be carried out from within the river bed. The river was over pumped during working hours, the excavation and construction were carried out in short lengths so the river did not wash soils away when pumps were not used at night.
